Trans Tech Consultants was founded in 1987 by Bill C. Wiggins and a partner. Bill took over sole ownership of the firm in 1997. Over the years TTC staff have performed services throughout northern California from Santa Clara to as far north as Humboldt County, Sonoma to as far east as Sacramento County, and in to the Central Valley. Our staff of Civil Engineers and geologists have over 80 years combined experience.
Bill Wiggins, P.E., President
Mr. Wiggins received a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from California State University at Chico in 1984 and is a registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Wiggins is also holds a State of California General . Engineering Contractors License, with a Hazardous Substance Removal and Remedial Action Certification. Bill has been the Professional in responsible charge of thousands of projects over the last 30 years. His experience includes the investigation, mitigation and closure of sites contaminated with various hazardous and toxic materials.. Mr. Wiggins has served as the responsible professional for projects ranging from Phase I Environmental Site Assessments; Phase II focused environmental site investigations and Phase III site cleanups and mitigations. Mr. Wiggins has been a consulting expert on numerous cases, including trial testimony and expert witness preparation.
Matt Donohue, P.E., Director of Engineering
Mr. Donohue has a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a registered Professional Civil Engineer. Mr. Donohue’s focus at Trans Tech Consultants is providing civil engineering and petroleum design services to independent petroleum marketers. Common projects include Retail Service Stations, Card-Lock Fueling Systems, and Petroleum Bulk Plants. Trans Tech provides piping plans, grading and drainage plans, electrical plans, foundation plans, and can coordinate all of the necessary design and engineering drawings and specifications to acquire a building permit. Mr. Donohue also has experience as an expert witness and has served as such in the past.
Brian Hasik, P.G Professional Geologist
Mr. Hasik has a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Sonoma State University. As a staff geologist, Mr. Hasik’s duties include the field supervision of monitoring well development, field sampling, and groundwater monitoring for hydrogeologic investigations. Mr. Hasik has experience in remedial soil excavations for contaminated sites, UST removal, and non-hazardous and hazardous waste characterization and disposal.
Steve Silva, P.G.
Steve Silva is a Senior Geologist with over 20 years of experience in the environmental engineering and consulting industry. After graduating from California State University at Chico with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 1999, Steve gained valuable experience working on federal government (military) projects throughout California performing a wide variety of field investigations, monitoring events, and assisting with the preparation of multiple, in-depth, reports of findings. Since returning to Sonoma County as a California-licensed Professional Geologist, Steve has been able to aid Clients with moving their sites to no further action status, providing assistance and explanations of financial aid programs for site investigative work, and navigating the nuances of the state’s regulatory terrain of paperwork. Steve also serves as a quality assurance/quality control officer within Trans Tech Consultants and fills a wide variety of roles, from drafting, to report preparation, to project management of petroleum and solvent-impacted properties.
